Hope Rising Program Accepting Applications in 2026!

About Hope Rising

The Hope Rising Recovery Program by Hurricane Help Florida provides critical assistance to homeowners in the Greater Tampa Bay area whose primary residences were damaged by Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Milton.

The program is designed to help make homes safe and livable again, not to fully rebuild entire homes. Assistance is provided on a case-by-case basis and focuses on urgent, storm-related needs that impact health, safety, and habitability.

The program will run though October 2026.

REBUILDING HOMES. RESTORING LIVES.

What Assistance Includes & How the Program Works

Eligible assistance may include roofing repairs, electrical or plumbing work, flooring and drywall repairs, mold remediation when necessary, and limited furniture or household essentials required for safe occupancy.

All work is completed by licensed, insured, and background-checked contractors through our partner platform, MyPro Market. Homeowners will be able to track their repair projects from start to finish within the system, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the process.

Funding is limited, and completing an application does not guarantee assistance. All households must meet eligibility, income, and documentation requirements.

Pinellas County Reopens Home Repair Program, Up to $75,000 Available!

Pinellas County has reopened its Home Repair Program and is now accepting new applications as of April 1, 2026. The program offers a fully forgivable loan of up to $75,000 to help eligible homeowners make critical repairs and remain safely in their homes.

Funding can be used for major repairs such as roof replacement, windows, exterior doors, HVAC systems, and other housing code-related improvements. The loan is fully forgivable, which means homeowners do not have to make monthly payments or repay the assistance as long as the home remains their primary residence.

For homeowners with accessibility needs, Pinellas County also offers an Independent Living Program that may provide up to $20,000 in additional grant funding for improvements such as grab bars, ramps, walk-in showers, and widened doorways, when eligibility requirements are met.

To qualify for the Home Repair Program, applicants must meet income guidelines. Pinellas County states that the current limit is $58,450 for an individual or $83,450 for a family of four. The program is funded through Florida’s State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program (SHIP).
