The Hope Rising Recovery Program, offered by Global Hope Collective Corp dba Hurricane Help Florida, helps eligible homeowners in the Greater Tampa Bay area address essential repairs to primary residences damaged by Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Milton.

In January 2026, Hurricane Help Florida received grant funding to support this work. The program focuses on documented, storm-related needs that affect a home’s health, safety, and habitability. It is intended to help make homes safe and livable again and does not provide full home rebuilds or guarantee that all repair needs will be addressed.

Due to the high volume of requests and limited funding, all new applications are currently being placed on a waitlist while our team reviews existing requests and available resources.

Submitting an application or being placed on the waitlist does not guarantee eligibility, funding, repairs, or other assistance. We cannot guarantee when a waitlisted application will be reviewed or whether assistance will become available.

What Assistance May Include

Depending on documented need, eligibility, available funding, and program requirements, assistance may include:

Essential home repair materials and labor.

Roof repairs or replacement.

Electrical or plumbing repairs.

Drywall and flooring repairs.

Mold remediation when necessary.

Limited furniture and household essentials needed for safe occupancy.

The type and extent of any assistance will be determined individually. Approval for one type of assistance does not mean that other requested repairs or items will be covered.

Who May Be Eligible

To be considered, applicants must:

Own and occupy the damaged home as their primary residence.

Live within the program’s designated service area.

Have documented repair or essential household needs related to Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Milton.

Meet applicable income, eligibility, and documentation requirements.

Our team may request additional information or documentation to evaluate an application. Meeting eligibility requirements does not guarantee assistance.

How the Program Works

Complete the assistance application to submit your household’s needs for consideration. Our team will review applications as capacity and funding allow and may contact applicants for additional information.

For approved repair projects, work is coordinated with contractors through our partner platform, MyPro Market. Contractors performing program work must meet applicable licensing, insurance, and background-screening requirements. Participating homeowners can use the platform to follow project progress.

When appropriate resources are identified, our team may also provide referrals to other recovery organizations. Referrals do not guarantee eligibility or assistance from those organizations.

Program Timing and Funding

The current program is scheduled to run through October 2026, subject to available funding and applicable grant requirements. Services may end earlier if funding is exhausted. Applying before the program ends does not guarantee that an application will be reviewed, approved, or funded.
