2026 Hurricane Preparedness Kit Distribution Day
Two years after the 2024 hurricanes, many Florida families are still rebuilding and preparing for the next storm.
Join Hurricane Help Florida and StormResQ on September 24, 2026, at the Bob Buckhorn River Center in Tampa for a free community event connecting families with trusted disaster recovery organizations, practical resources and hurricane preparedness supplies.
Choose your arrival time when you register:
12:00 or 1:00 p.m. — Includes lunch from SaltBlock Hospitality and a preparedness kit, with a $45 donation
2:00 or 3:00 p.m. — Free, includes a preparedness kit
Attendees can receive:
A free resident preparedness kit, while supplies last
A free pet preparedness kit sponsored by Better Roofing & Restoration, while supplies last.
Contractor’s Row presented by MGM Recovery for connections to local recovery and rebuilding resources
Practical hurricane preparedness guidance from partner organizations across Florida.
Only one registration is needed per family, and kits are limited to one per household.
Free onsite and overflow valet parking is available, sponsored by Optain.
Why Your Sponsorship Matters
Sponsorships help provide 500 resident kits and 250 pet kits and support our Hope Rising Rebuild & Resilience Program, which is still helping more than 60 families, including seniors, veterans and working households, recover from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Help families prepare for the next storm while many still recover from the last.

Hurricane Help Florida is excited to host this unforgettable evening of laughter, community, and generosity. On May 29, 2025, we’ll come together at Jackson’s in Tampa to raise much-needed funds to support families still rebuilding after the devastation of recent hurricanes. The night promises heartfelt moments, a comedy roast, and a chance to make a lasting impact on our communities.
