HHF has been absolutely responsible for my ability to recover from both hurricanes that most recently devastated Tampa, my own home included. I lost 99% of everything I had up until that point worked my entire life to attain. It was horrible to say the least. Kristen stepped in at a time when things were very bleak for me. Hope wasn’t in abundance and me, my dog and cat were living with family. I was able to move into a new home and within the week Kristen and HHF were able to completely furnish it. I had no bed, sofa, or dining table, now I have all of that and more. I will be forever grateful, beyond what words can really express. The patience, care, and attentiveness were beyond what anyone could expect and the timeliness in which everything was carried out was a true blessing. I also want to give thanks to a gentleman named Chuy, who also took those extra steps to personally make sure I had a strong foothold to bounce back from. Anyone fortunate enough to work with them will find kindness and hope with every interaction. True hero’s, genuinely making a huge impact in the community. Thank you so much.

I just want to express my appreciation and many thanks to Hurricane Help Florida and Kristen who coordinated sending valuable volunteers in cleaning up and tearing down damaged walls and ceiling in the bedroom during Hurricane Milton on Oct. 9, 2024 Kristen sent us two new cabinets for free to replace the damaged one. Nice flowering plant too.

Kristen and the Hurricane Help FL team have changed my family's lives. My mom’s house had knee high water from hurricane Milton - they lost their furniture, appliances and then 99% of their personal belongings from mold exposure. Hurricane Help FL was the ONLY organization that offered fast, easy, free and REAL support. Their team of volunteers stepped in and got the house gutted/demo’ed in a matter of days. The FEMA assessment worker was shocked to see how much progress they’d made in such little time and said we were further along than anyone else they’d visited. When the government and city failed us, Kristen and her team stepped up and were our true hero’s. They have provided endless support and resources over the last year, and have never forgotten about us along the way. They were able to get my mom a full house of new furniture thanks to their partnership with RoomsToGo, and are now, a full year later, helping us get the home interior painted. I don’t know what we would’ve done with out this PHENOMENAL organization!!

Hope Rising Important Program Update

The Hope Rising Program has received an overwhelming number of applications from homeowners impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

At this time, all new applications are being placed on a waitlist while our team reviews existing requests and available funding.

Submitting an application does not guarantee assistance, but it allows our team to evaluate your situation and connect you with other recovery resources that may be available in your area.

The Hope Rising Recovery Program by Hurricane Help Florida provides critical assistance to homeowners in the Greater Tampa Bay area whose primary residences were damaged by Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Milton.

The program is designed to help make homes safe and livable again, not to fully rebuild entire homes. Assistance is provided on a case-by-case basis and focuses on urgent, storm-related needs that impact health, safety, and habitability.

What Assistance Includes & How the Program Works

Eligible assistance may include roofing repairs, electrical or plumbing work, flooring and drywall repairs, mold remediation when necessary, and limited furniture or household essentials required for safe occupancy.

All work is completed by licensed, insured, and background-checked contractors through our partner platform, MyPro Market. Homeowners will be able to track their repair projects from start to finish within the system, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the process.

Funding is limited, and completing an application does not guarantee assistance. All households must meet eligibility, income, and documentation requirements.

The program will run though November 2026.

REBUILDING HOMES. RESTORING LIVES.

Bringing hope, resources, and recovery support to Florida communities.

Thank You, Country Thunder Florida

We’re grateful to Country Thunder Florida for providing more than $30,000 in in-kind support to HHF during the 2026 festival in Clearwater.

Through booth space, promotional opportunities, social media exposure, and on-site visibility, Country Thunder helped us share our mission, StormResQ, and Hope Rising with thousands of attendees. Their support, along with recognition from PEOPLE Magazine, helped bring greater awareness to disaster preparedness, recovery, and rebuilding efforts across Florida.

Together, we’re helping Florida families recover, rebuild, and rise stronger.

Our Mission

Hurricane Help Florida provides free resources, guidance, and recovery support to help Florida residents and communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from hurricanes and other disasters. From preparedness education and contractor verification to recovery navigation, rebuilding assistance, and essential donations of materials, furniture, and appliances, we support families every step of the way, prioritizing those with limited resources and unmet needs.

Our companion app, StormResQ, connects residents requesting non-emergency storm assistance with verified nonprofit responder organizations. It complements emergency services and is not a substitute for 911.

Together with our volunteers and community partners, we help Floridians stay informed, rebuild safe and habitable homes, and strengthen their resilience for the future.
